Adventures

So I just got back home from a great adventure.  I went to school with daddy today!  There are pictures on mommy’s facebook under mobile uploads on her profile.  Mommy still cant upload pictures onto this site for some reason (Uncle Justin please fix it!).  It started out daddy coming home this morning from work.  I had woken up and was excited to spend a little bit of time with daddy before he left for school.  Today is Friday so he only has one class, which is Japanese.  He decided to let mommy sleep in (because he is the most awesomest husband and daddy ever!) and take me to school with him!  I put on my hat and sweater and shoes and out the door we went.  We walked a block down to the bus stop and I rode on the bus for the first time ever!  It was very weird not to be in a carseat.  We took that bus to downtown and caught another to go out to Daddy’s school.  Then we walked to his classroom.  Only five other people were in there so far, so daddy brought me in and sat me down in a desk behind him.  I spent most the time in class quietly reading a book.  Alot of the other people in the class saw me and thought i was very cute and well behaved.  There was one girl that kept pointing me out to everyone in the room saying “there is a little person back there”.  The teacher didnt notice me for a while.  Not till she got up to pass out quizzes.  I suprised her, it was funny.  No one minded me being there though because I was very quiet and well-behaved.  After class we rode the bus back home.  We stopped at Davenport Hotel while waiting for the next bus, so there is a picture of me in there too.  That place is BIG and very pretty! It was lots of fun!

So lately I have started to get an attitude.  Mommy calls it the “terrible twos”.  She says she misses my sweetness and how easy i used to be.  Now I refuse to go to bed.  I willingly say “night night” to mommy and do my fancy princess parade waves and kisses and read the bedtime stories snuggled with daddy, but the second he lays me down I start to scream.  I don’t like sleeping in my own bed, I like to sleep with mommy.  She would let me sleep with her when daddy was at work and I woke in the middle of the night.  Then daddy gave up one time and brought me in to bed with them both in the middle of the night.  Then when i was sick and throwing up, mommy let me sleep in bed with her from the beginning of the night, and I liked it.  So I decided to throw such a huge tantrum every single night till Mommy brings me in bed with her.  She usually takes a couple hours and I have to make myself vomit all over my bed before she will give up though.  Yes, I get myself so worked up that I vomit all over my bed EVERY single night.  I get it from my mommy, she says she used to do that when throwing tantrums when she was little.  It’s only fair that I let her deal with it now!

Even though I have been bad tempered when I don’t get my way, I can behave very well too.  I often clean up after myself (and Mommy and Daddy and the Kitties) without being asked.  I love to throw things in the garbage and put dishes in the sink.  I also love putting toys and books away.  I’m a very good helper, when I am not busy making a mess somewhere.

Easter

On Sunday was Easter. I got to wear the dress my Mommy wore for Easter when she was my age. My Grandma Stewart made it. I really love that dress, i have alot of fun swirling and dancing in it. After church I got to see what the Easter Bunny brought me. I had a huge basket full of candy, and a trunk full of dress-up clothes and books. My favorite things! I dressed up as a fairy princess ballerina and then started reading my books and eating my candy. I went on a huge sugar high and started dancing in my cute outfit. I also got to hunt for eggs. I didn’t get it at first, but after the fourth egg or so I understood the game and had so much fun trying to find the rest! They were filled with candy too!
After a while, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell’s. I got another basket there with a book and some candy and a stuffed bunny. More things I love! I also got to go on another egg hunt downstairs. (It was raining outside.) These eggs were real ones, and I ended up breaking some in my excitement of putting them in the basket after finding them. After the egg hunt I got to see Aunt Becky on Skype, and I kept waving to her and blowing her kisses. I love her so much! (and everyone else too!) I also showed her my dance moves to Uncle Brady’s cool music he does.
Easter was very fun this year. If you want pictures, you will have to check on Mommy’s facebook account, because she can load pictures directly from her phone to facebook, and the USB doesnt work with this computer to load them on here.

helping

Today I helped mommy make sugar cookies, cut them out, then bake and frost/decorate them. I cut out the shapes, and helped pour on the sprinkles. We also dyed eggs, and i had alot of fun coloring the eggs with the invisible crayon and helping pick the color to dye them, then seeing what i colored magically appear. This past weekend was General Conference, and I was very well behaved (as always). It was exhausting though, sitting in church all day for two days, but in between sessions I got to see Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell and play outside in the nice warm weather.
I have a mouth full of teeth now, the final four all came in at the same time, I’m all done till I’m 5 or 6 and start losing them and getting my permanents. I’m also growing really tall. I no longer fit in many of my dresses so we went shopping for some new ones. I also got new shoes, and I can put them on all by myself! I am also still working on being potty trained. Some days I do really good and go pee in the potty all by myself without any help or reminders. Other days all I want is to still wear a diaper. Mommy lets me choose because she is in no hurry to have me grow up.
I have also learned my manners, everytime anyone sneezes near me (or any other loud bodily function) i say “beth-sues” (bless you), and then when they say “thankyou” i say “thankyou” back. Also whenever I want anything, if I cant say the word for what i want, i just point at it and say “pease” (please). I have been saying alot of new words, and also animal sounds, too many to now list. I love any attention I get and whenever anyone laughs, I make sure to laugh along so loud that everyone looks at me and keeps laughing. I love to make people laugh and have learned a new dance that always does the trick. I shake my hips really fast with a huge grin on my face. It is lots of fun. Mommy is trying to catch me doing it on camera, along with some of my talking. When she does, she will figure out a way to post it here, or on facebook.

Celebrations!

So yesterday, I went pee in the potty for the very first time!  We had a huge celebration because mommy was so proud of me.  We went out and I got to pick out any toy I wanted, so I picked a baby doll  (ofcourse).   Mommy also got a new mop, so I got to help her put that together and clean the kitchen floors, they look so shiny now!  I also heard I have a new cousin, a girl one too!  I’m very excited and hope to see her this summer.

Today we went to the hospital to visit another new baby.  He was only a few hours old, and mommy was holding him.  I got jealous and wanted to sit in her lap, but daddy kept me entertained.  There was another baby only a month old there, and I was very curious about her, but too shy to actually go near her, except when mommy was holding her.

I’m very excited it is spring, it is starting to warm up a little bit, and I can’t wait till next week when mommy and daddy can take me to the parks to play.  I love to play outside!

I am starting to learn my manners, yesterday when Mommy sneezed, I told her “bless you”, and then today when I burped i said “excuse me” after.  I amaze mommy with all my new words.

Updates

Sunday I got to see most of my Stewart side family.  Everyone except Uncle Michael, Aunt Jaspenelle and Cousin Damian were there.  We ate spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread and salad with Grandma’s brownies for desert, they were all good!  Uncle Justin brought an energy drink, and even though I didn’t drink any of it, I smelled it and got really hyper!  I started running in circles and giggling and squealing and just loving the attention.

Today I am going to go visit the Mitchell’s, because Uncle Zach is over for the week, and Grandma and Grandpa will be leaving Friday to see my new cousin that is coming tomorrow.  We are also going to the library to get some books for me about going potty.

I sit on the potty now, but I still haven’t gone in it.  Mommy has a chart and some stickers, and everytime i sit on it I get to put a sticker on.  I also get stickers for other things, but I havent done any of those yet.

I talk alot more now.  I have recently learned “bubbles”  (bubs), and mommy realized I have probably been saying “shoes” and “stop” for a long time and she just hasn’t noticed because I’m so great at saying them.  I am also learning and saying animal sounds, (mostly i can say kitty, dog, and bird and make the sounds for them, also sound for cow.)  I can also point out more body parts and say alot of them too.

I am getting in two more teeth right now, all I have left are two more, then I have a full mouth of pearly whites!  The dentist said my teeth are perfect!

Mommy and Daddy bought “pinocchio” for me when it came out.  I never saw it before (I have now though) but I’m very smart.  When the cashier asked me “where is pinocchio?” I pointed right at my nose.  He thought that was the most impressive thing, and thought I was very cute.  Everyone thinks I’m cute, I get stopped in public everywhere to be told I am cute.  It’s the curls, and the big eyes, and probably the grin I always have on my face.

Yes, i am cute, I know it, and love it!

Potty Training

We went out shopping monday, we bought me a small potty, some pretty big girl panties that i got to pick out myself (i picked mostly dora, then disney princess and my little pony) and some pull-ups.  Little did i know that mommy was going to torture me into sitting on that potty every half hour trying to get me to pee in it, and that i would be wearing those pull-ups right away.  I didn’t enjoy sitting on the potty, so i fought it as much as possible every time, and finally mommy decided i still might not be ready (even though all the books and talk say that i am by the way i act) and put me back in diapers today, which she knows i can remove myself and she told me i am free to use the potty if i want to, but only if i want to. No more fighting or torture.  Now we are potty training my doll, she goes pee in the potty very well, right after we give her something to drink!

More sick

So just as I am feeling better with my infections,  I catch a stomach bug, and spent Valentines Day in the Emergency Room.  It was alot worse then my last visit, this time they poked me over and over (I am a really hard poke!)  to get an IV because I was extremely dehydrated and they also needed to draw some blood.  I ended up being so exhausted from all the vomiting and then fighting as i was being poked that i slept the entire time the fluids were going through me.  The Dr. said it wasnt my antibiotics that made me sick, which is good, and after i was rehydrated i got to go home.  I only vomit when i eat food that isnt bland like crackers now, so im mostly living on juice and crackers all day.  Daddy is now throwing up with me too, and mommy is feeling like she might, on top of her bladder infection from the pregnancy and the horrible cold she has.  We had to cancel all plans to celebrate Valentine’s day, and Mommy and Daddy are really stressing out, but I keep them smiling by doing cute things all the time.  I try hard to get them to laugh, though it is pretty easy with all my cuteness!

Yesterday, despite our illnesses, I got to see all of my Stewart family, all my Aunts, Uncles, and cousin got together for dinner.  It was nice to see all of my family, and my cousin is getting really big!  He is already walking and he isn’t even 9 months old yet!  He let me play with some of his toys, I really liked his horse, i could ride on it and it made noise and music.

Infections all around!

This past week, while mommy and daddy were busy dealing with the stress of losing Jayden, i have developed a sore in my nose, and it got really bad.  Mommy and Daddy weren’t sure what it was, but it kept getting worse, and then a sore appeared on my hand and it looked infected, so on Monday mommy and daddy decided to try to call the Dr.     Mommy went to see her obstetrician anyways, and he saw me and said to get me to the dr. right away because I had staff or strep infection.  (He used to be a family dr.)  Daddy made some phone calls and was told to take me to Urgent Care.  We went there and waited for 3 hours (Grandma Mitchell is the bestest in the whole world and brought me books and food) only to be told the same thing Mommy’s dr. said and sent home with a prescription for antibiotics.  On the way home, we stopped to get the prescription filled at Walgreens (they are the only ones that take our insurance) only to get rejected saying they couldn’t fill it because they were not a 24-hour walgreens.  Mommy and Daddy decided that it was a very long day already and would find somewhere else the next day.  That night i woke up screaming and in pain and couldn’t go back to sleep no matter what, so mommy and daddy took me to the Emergency Room at Sacred Heart Childrens Hospital.  We told them what happened, and the Dr. said walgreens shouldnt have done that and called and yelled at them, then gave me some antibiotics right there and called in at a different walgreens to make sure that we could get the prescription.  I started feeling better and went right to sleep once we got home.  Now three times a day mommy and daddy have to hold me down and force me to drink some yucky cherry flavored medicine that i HATE!  I fight it and spit and scream and cry, it tastes so gross!  My sore in my nose is almost completely healed though, and the sore on my hand looks better (and so does the ones that were starting to develop on top of my nose and under my chin).

Today I decided to give mommy a big laugh!  She was talking on the phone to her dr.’s nurse, when she turned around, and found me, completely naked from head to toe, holding my diaper i had just removed that was completely full of poop!  I had just filled my diaper and decided i would help mommy out, so i took off my clothes and diaper for her.  I didn’t want her to have to do any work, so when she tried to take the dirty diaper from me, i ran away screaming with poop flying everywhere out of the diaper.  She finally chased me down and threw the diaper away, then went upstairs to get me some new clothes and a new diaper.  I got to run around the house completely naked while waiting for her to get everything for me.  It was lots of fun, and I plan to do it again!

Words

Lately Mommy and I have been visiting my friend Evelyn alot.   They live just a couple houses away and Evelyn’s Mommy works in primary (and also used to work at walmart) with my mommy, and Evelyn is my best friend in nursery.  We go over there to play, bake cookies, watch movies, play the wii, and many other things.  Evelyn is a little older than me, and she talks alot, using full sentences and everything.  I want to be a big girl like her, so I am working really hard on talking.  I say “buh bye” perfectly now, and i also have picked up alot more words just in the last week or so, but i don’t use them as often.  Some of the words are airplane (a-pune) birdy (dubby) milk (mim) uh-oh, up, down (dun) kitty,  ready-one-two-three! (deedee-un-two-treeeeeeeeee!) daddy, mommy, grandma (mah-ma) and many more.

I am also currently fascinated with airplanes, every single time i hear one fly over the house i run to the window, point up, and yell “airplane!”.  Sometimes I can see them, but other times it is too cloudy and i can’t.

I am also learning to be a big helper with cleaning, mommy asks me to pick up all my toys and anything else on the floors and i stick them in the wagon, where we pull it around from room to room putting everything in its rightful spot.  I also help with the dishes by rinsing the soap off in the water.  When Mommy vaccums and she empties the dirt container, i help pull all the carpet fuzzies off and throw them away.  I also wash off the table and counters and even the floor when i make a mess with my food, along with my hands and face.

I can also point out several body parts, my favorite being my belly, when you ask me where it is i lift up my shirt and pat my belly and say “lebby” (belly).  I also point out my eyes, nose, mouth (sometimes) ears, hair, fingers, feet, cheeks, and face.

Jayden

I got to spend Monday and Tuesday night with Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell.  Mommy and Daddy was in the hospital delivering my little sister, Jayden Amy Mitchell.  I don’t get to see her in this life because she is already with Jesus.  Mommy says she was born at 5:02am on Febuary 3rd, 2009.  She was 9 inches long and 7.3 ounces (not to be mixed with 7 lbs 3 oz), and just barely 20 weeks along when born (but if you ask the coroner she is just barely UNDER 20 weeks).
